Forest Management

Forest Management is John Daniel, the Ohio-born, Chicago-based artist. Although his music rarely sounds unfinished, you could call it a work in progress. Over the past eight years, the artist has appeared on over 50 releases, creating ambient sounds and droning textures that constantly move forward.

Madeline Johnston

Sister Grotto is a project by Denver based artist Madeline Johnston. Madeline's project Midwife has been called "heavy and hypnotic, full of nearly wordless ruminations on the pain of loss" by Pitchfork and " insular-landscape empty-space music, like what might happen if Grouper went shoegaze." by Stereogum. Johnston's Sister Grotto project is full of dramatic builds, gauzy drones punctuated by her characteristic, static-filled delivery through custom built microphones. A critical darling, Madeline Johnston's work is a thing of great weight and beauty.
