Chaz Prymek’s ongoing Lake Mary project transcended the boundaries of a mere solo project long ago, having evolved into an ever-shifting collective of like-minded artists, performers and spiritual seekers with deep ties to Colorado’s Front Range and the sprawling Missouri plains. With a stunningly executed catalog of releases for a growing roster of International labels, Lake Mary’s music is rooted in American Primitivist guitar music, Spiritual Jazz and sonorous folk music. Chaz Prymek is one part of the highly acclaimed quartet Fuubutsushi (風物詩) whose output in 2021 received praise from NPR, Men’s Health, Pitchfork and Bandcamp Daily.
