Willow Skye-Biggs is a trans-lesbian-autistic multimedia artist, music producer and filmmaker. Willow’s work explores questions about emotional states, mental illness, the supernatural and the spiritual.
Over the past decade Willow has produced over 30 albums under different aliases (Stag Hare, Ava Lux, Sabriel’s Orb). As a musical artist Willow’s work blends atmospheric ethereal moods, nuanced emotional melodies, and hypnotic beats. As Sabriel’s Orb her work stretches out into its most ambient form, creating blankets of deep textural moods, while Ava Lux sees her compressing her textures into harder hitting experimental club tracks.
Currently Willow is focusing on sounds blending the trancelike quality of her earlier work with the sonic palette and rhythm of her more recent productions. She is also producing a series of tracks designed to be self-contained moments frozen in time which will accompany looping video works. Willow spends most of her time looking at rivers and things that are far away with her 8 year old son.
